Ok ive got a 91 CRX thats has been sitting since last july. I think its about time to get it out and driveable again. Ill be purchasing a h22 within the next few weeks via the federal government (gotta love tax returns) but until then would still like to drive it.

How do i got about draining the old gasoline out of the tank, im sure its gone bad by now?

Also i plan on chaning the oil&filter, and air filter before turning the key... is there anything else that i will need to do to make start up a little easyer?

Thanks

If i remember right there is a drain plug on the bottom of the tank.  I'm not bad gas expert so I'm not sure if it'd be bad or not.  If it is then I have a tank of it too  Grin

LMAO spec, wow your rusty.

easiest way is to disconnect the fuel line at the filter then turn the ign to ON, don't start the engine, just turn it to ON, let the fuel pump do the work for ya.

Thats the messy way to do it buddy.   Why drain gasoline, a flammable substance all down through your engine bay?  The filter area is such a tight spot.

Get underneath teh damn car, pull out on bolt and get ALL of the gas out, not just whatever the fuel pump can do.

Take it that means I don't remember right.  When I did my fuel pump years ago I just lowered the tank half full with a jack and a board.
Guess you could always drill a hole then tap it and stick a bolt in it.... (Just kidding, don't do that)  Lips Sealed

lol, i put the fuel line in a garden hose, stick the other end inside a gas can then let the pump do the work, it takes the old gas out and when dry, put some fresh gas in there and flush the lines.

i just run the car with the bad gas, newer gas doesnt go bad as quick as many people may lead you to believe. once you get the car running go fill up with fresh gas and once you get back down to half a tank fill back up again. you shouldnt have a problem
