My oldest brother had a RF900.  Watch out for the alternator!  Extremely hard to find rare parts.  He had charging issues, and after a lot of consulting, phone calls, etc he got a fresh alternator built.

Otherwise, they are nice bikes.  congrats.

Here was my piece.

1971 Honda CB750  Sold it for 700$

Looking to get a 2008 250 Ninja for a daily rider/weekend cruiser.

Heck yah. What up Bomber, how the hell are ya.

I go to replace the chain and it's a 532, wtf? so now I have to wait a week to get the 530 conversion. Freakin bike is driving me broke. that's just a chain, I'm dreading the alternator thing your talking about. So far though it's running great.

around our area Pr3d, everyone pays extra for their ride. I've seen 95 cbr's sell for 3 to 5K around here, outrageous pricing and people were willing to buy them. I got mine for 1100, 95 rf900r, I had to drive couple hours to WV but the guy didn't know what he had, I couldn't let this deal go I had to bite. It sux for us, there's just way to many rich yuppies here. I love that undetail exhaust, it makes it easier to reach down under the seat to warm your hands when riding in cold weather.

Bomber, your what, 6'4~6,5"? won't a lil ninja look funky on you, like your riding a lil pocket bike? GO find a cheapo cruiser, then get some ass-less chaps and get the mommies on speed dial bro.

HAH you know it..it works real well on the colder days where you're begging for a stop light so you can reach your hands back hehe. I guess maybe I didn't pay too much then I shelled out around 5k for mine and it had under 5000 miles. I was just eagerly waiting and the cycle shop knew they had a definite buyer since I had been calling them every week to see if they had a red-black double-R in.

Hellz yah. I try and hang around the cylce shop near my work RnR, but too rich for my blood... I've got a freakin mortgage bleeding me dry. What killz me is Moped iron men here, freakin 30 degrees and their out there motorin' buncha loons I tell ya. I need at least 50 deg before I ride, and when I do I'm super grampa careful around traffic, the usual holeshot at the lights but nothing too crazy. How long did it take you to Myrtle beach.

I'm 6'4 200lbs.

I sat on a 05 Ninja 250 and it not only felt great, but my friend said I looked fine on it.

If I don't get a ninja, I'll get something bigger.  It really comes down to timing/$ right now.

LoL in my world dave, everything is based on timing  and $.... Howz about the 500.? I was commenting because when I sat on the ninja 250, I felt like I was riding a moped.... If I were you, I'd try and find a bike that needs work, get it for really cheap, then have your dad and brothers restore it. Speaking of which, how is your bro.

Please, the only one doing the restoring would be me.  I might try and get a loan going for a decent used bike.  We'll see what happens.

Matts doing pretty good.  I'll have him sign on here so he can post.

LMAO. use the slick power of brotherhood to have them do it for you, I know you can do it, hehehehe

If I were you I wouldn't get a loan, fock that, just get a rich mommy to buy you one, or ask your girly for money. Or, do it like I did, use your tax return.
