Well I ran into some shitty ass problems:

3 weeks ago, my D16a6 timing belt snapped, and I parked it for a week.  After a GDD poll, I decided to put my spare D15b2 in the car and I was back on the road, rather then buying a different car.

Welp, It's been 3 weeks since that engine swap, and last night my tranny took a shit on me.  On my way to my friends house, I let off the clutch and it started to violently vibrate my whole car.  I somehow managed to keep shifting and get it to my friends as it vibrated like crazy.

I proceed to go out and get some beers, come back and try and drive the CRX home.  I get halfway home and I hit it in 5th and the car just revs.  I try all of the gears and it just revs, so I coasted a 1/4 mile into a bar parking lot and called it a day.

Today I got a ride to work, and after work I picked up a new car.

1987 Civic Si hatchback.  Black on black with 174,000.  Car runs like a dream and is mechanically better in every way over my CRX.  I plan on DDing it for a while, but will eventually lower it on my panasports and do a new exhaust as it has a hole in the current one.

Will post pics tommorow of the wrecker crx and the 87 si.  I'm really excited as this is the first non-crx I've driven in almost 5 years and will be the only car I've ever driven thats NOT a CRX.

I'm either going to be parting out all of my CRX parts and selling the 91 si shell, or I'm going to fix her up on my own time and make it a weekend warrior.  We shall see.

This is the beast CRX that keeps dying on me.  Not sure if I should keep it or sell it and buy a motorcycle.

and this is my new hatch

My only real plans is to get my 14" panasports (black with polished lip) repainted with new tires and put them on the civic.  I also might look into lowering the civic, I hear its a pain in the ass though.

Also:

Custom Front Lip
New exhaust
Tuneup
Possibly installing older prelude seats, I hear they're comfy as hell.

While I'm driving this beast, I'm gonna rebuild the red CRX at my own leisure Wink

Hell yea.

The car runs great.  No grinds, shifts perfect.  Drives straight, brakes a little soft but o well.

It's definitely a junkyard whore, and down the line I plan on possibly doing a browntop zc swap if I have another car or a bike on the road.

i like it..looks like its in decent shape...i'm eagerly waiting to put all the interior back in my crx then it goes up on ebay with your old shell as a freebie and another old junked shell...i'm trying to get rid of all my crx's with one auction...as for my ride..i've still got the xb as my dailydriven slut....and i picked up an '03 600 RR last week so..i'm pretty content with 'speed' and what i define as 'locomotive thrill'  i'll post some pictures and what not...

It dips in on the roof where the spoiler starts.

The clear pop-up roof appears to be a stock option.  It doesn't leak or anything like my old one so I'm guessing its stock.

I like the car alot though, although it doesn't feel fast aka unsafe and dangerous like my CRX, it pulls really well for a 1.5 mpfi.  I plan on cleaning it up, relocating battery, hiding as much as possible, removing a/c, lowering it, putting panasports on it and getting new exhaust.
