91 hf with obd0-b16
I/H/E
My idle bouces from 2.5K to 1.5K cold, then 2k to 1K when warm. This is annoying, coz peeps think I'm revving on them. No CEL, coolant level is ok.
What do you guys think?

Pull your IAC valve out from the back of your intake manifold. I was getting the same shit. Bad idle with no CEL. If you ran your coolant lines through your IAC then you'll have to either drain your coolant or plug the lines off.
99% thats it.
I pulled mine off after research and found there was no mesh filter on the one hole and that'll lead to bad idle. Either find a new one or hit the Jyard and soak it in brake cleaner/engine degreaser. This should solve your problem. Yours might just be dirty.
Also, you might want to look into bypassing those coolant lines by running the smaller intake mani coolant line directly to the thermostat housing instead of through the IAC.
FASTEST way to test this without yanking it off would be to let your POS CRX to warm up and let it idle bounce, then pull out the IAC plug and if it stops bouncing but throws a code you know thats what it is.
I just changed mine out for a 92 hatch IAC and its working good. The whole week my car was dieing like its out of gas. Freaking idiot at the gas station didnt lock my gas cap and I had no gas pressure.
Good Luck bitch

hmn, ok. I tried unplugging the damn IAC, the bouncing just went faster... I cleaned the TB, still bouncing... No vac leaks, that was the first thing I checked... I'm going to adjust my valves tonight (while I'm under the hood) any other ideas guys?

hmmmm i guess im 99 % wrong....
only things that could make it idle funny is IAC, pcv valve, vacuum leak, throttle body gasket, throttle body adjuster bolt, or even the TPS.
try resetting your ecu and pulling out random plugs.

FINALLY............SUCCESS...
It was the fast idle valve underneath the throttle body. If your having the same problems, here's how you check... look at the TB, there are two ports on the left side of it (B SERIES) upper port is for EACV and lower port is for the fast idle valve, it's the thinggy that's conected with some water lines at the bottom of the TB, 3 10mm bolts hold it in place.
If your idle is erratic after warmed up, like mine, cover the top port with your finger, if that makes the idle peachy replace the EACV. If not, cover the bottom port, if it makes the idle normal then you know it's the fast idle valve.

Hehehehe good times, he kept telling his mommy the car is ok coz he was afraid of what his mommy would do.....
