That rant in no way, shape or form, addressed any of my points or introduced any sembelnce of a new concept or fact. In fact, I read it twice and honestly thought you posted in the wrong thread. I thought i read something about marketing segments, but then it tapered off into subjective nonsense.
You say that the new crx may lose 1st/2nd gen owners some street cred (of course since this isnt true or even logically based you had no evidence to back it up) and then you say the sport compact segment isnt about the street cred of people on this site (which is so inherently obvious that I dont think it needed to be written). I mean, does Honda realease vehicles to cater to the image or needs of anyone on this site (people modding hondas)....no. Obviously... no one even was arguing this. I was stating that, regardless of Hondas concern for the image of us, the car still will not lose anyone street cred above and beyond what has alreayd been lost as seen by the stereotypical driver of a modifed crx.
Ummm, if you're talking about my rant, it wasn't directed at you, dude. I was replying to Goldie. But..... (You know me, I'll never pass up an attempt to bitch) there is no evidence to back my claim up because unless a study is done to back me up we'll never know. Well, that is unless a new CRX does come out. Then on that note, "street cred" (which I was using in a sarcastic manner by the way) can not be judged due to its subjective nature. Obviously sarcasm can not be conveyed over a computer screen. Oh yeah, and notice the strategic placement of the word "might," in my original post.
footnote: this entire post was written with a smile on my face and with no attempt to start shit.
