i have a b16a dropped in a 91 crxsi.. looking to fully build the motor...kinda torn on what the best route to take would be.. money really isnt an issue but id like to keep it reasonable.. thinking about building it around a 75 shot, as well as using hondata...if you could just give me some ideas on what you think the best route is to take.. and what brands you have seen work...basically the best set up for the buck....

lol...you might want to post this in the Forced Induction or Import Discussion forum. i would move it there for ya if i had any power in this forum....

also, you probably wont get many people on any internet forums giving you a list of possible build-ups. the people who know enough about building engines usually dont spend time listing parts, but if you look around at peoples setups you can easily get answers to more specific questions.

do some searching for other b16's with nitrous.

and do you mean build it up as in NA or Turbo build up and then adding nitrous, or just beef up the engine to just run a 75 shot safely?

If you are building a nitrous motor you should be looking into aftermarket pistons.  CP is nice.  If all you plan to run is a 75 shot, you should be fine on the stock rods and sleeves.  If you wish to run more nitrous you might as well resleeve with ductile iron and get aftermarket rods too.  I recommend Golden Eagle Godzilla sleeves and a good set of rods (Crower pros, Pauter, Manley....stay away from the cheapy aftermarket rods they are cheap for a reason).  Another side benefit of resleeving is that you can increase your displacement (I.E. allows you to run bigger bore pistons without worry of cracked sleeves).'

Oh yeah, and a Cometic head gasket wouldn't hurt either.

Hope this helps.

You'll be able to juice a 75 shot on the stock motor, especially with some kind of fuel management. I juiced a 75 shot on my B16 all day with no fuel management AND advanced timing (no bueno).
