I have a 91 Si with a 1.6(stock engine) in it.  Im thinking of getting a T88 turbo for it.  Should i wait and just put the T88 on a b16 or should i put on my 1.6?

get a b16...it is a better base to build from..you will already have 160HP and you can add to that...and b-series engines last a little longer thatn d-series

first off do your homework, use the search function on this site, try google.com

but that T88 is NOT a turbo you should be looking at, way too large

if your going to do the engine swap, do it first and feel as the car rides. chances are the swap alone will give you what your looking for plus some bolt ons for a little more

Idiot.  It's not even going to spool up till 7500rpm if that.  It's too BIG!

Learn how to do an engine swap before you go hunting for parts you have only read about in Super Street.  Then learn how turbocharging works.  Then purchase a turbo that actually makes sense.

Sorry guys, I recommended the T88 in his other thread

It all depends on your goal. It's hard to recommend a turbo just by motor.
