writing an argument about the direction of modern corporations, and the need for a new system of education in this country in order to compete on a global scale in the next 25 years..systems analysis and shit, for my management class.

and a summary of some gay article about Maxim PC readers for my comp class (but she's super anal about format and all that gay shit i forgot when i hit college)

current events related. i heard something about this on the news, wahts it called "outsourcing".

pros and cons to it. and somone was arguing the pro aspect of it, saying that it drives down costs for the end consumer.

yeah, totally related...that's the direction most modern businesses are heading...not in mass production like we have seen through the last century, but in customization of products. the core of a business now is the people who can put together various products to meet the needs of a lot of people, and outsourcing the rest of the work. with the ease of communications and stuff, there's no real money in production, considering all the places in the world that can do it so cheap with the same or better quality.

my best friends mom is a radiologist, and she was telling me that lots of hospitols are sending all the films to india and other countries and being read by the same calibur doctors who are getting paid 25% of what she is. there isnt a great future for people who read film now, but there is for the people who can quickly create (constantly changing) systems for sending that work to other places.

yeh that was on the news how the x-rays are being read in india 8000 miles away. craziness. but thats what happens in ever growing society. too much work, now it has to be delegated. but id like to create them jobs locally. but not enough qualified people locally

yeah, local jobs are good, but unfortunately in fighting for local jobs, you are losing against competitors worldwide who dont care as much about that kind of stuff. That's kind of what im saying about education...we need to change the way people are educated so that they can work as a higher value employee - the people who figure out how to put everything together, not the ones who sit there and do the same predescribe tasks day after day. There's a huge opportunity with specialized services that use outside resources for most of the work, and teaching people to think in this fashion is important. the way i see it now, schools are setup just like factories used to be; a whole bunch of kids go in, get sent up the ladder with minor checks, and a whole shitload of people come out with the ability to follow simple tasks, while very few have the mindset that allows them to analyse a system and make it work on different levels

yeah, that kind of shit puts most people to sleep  Cool  that's why i keep to the rude comments and don't talk about much else, lol

Higher value, like the James Bonds of the world. People who you can't  easily replace because the way they think, the way they function, and skills they are able to utilize adapt to the situation they're in. being able to adapt to a constantly changing environment is key!
