well guys i am about out of options...people keep backing out of deals with LS motors, and well they tell me one price then another, and give me all kindsa bullshit all the fucking time and i am tired of it.......so fuck used ass, LS engines and shit..and fucking shitty people saying on thing then another.......I am just going to plunker down 800-900 for a full ZC swap..... for those of you that have driven both.....what are you impressions of both, i am kinda leaning towards the ZC now......30,000 to 40,000 miles on it, both have about the same HP, but there is a 14 F/lb torque difference in the engines, and i DO NOT LIKE TO REV my engine to get power....that is why i would like a LS, I am not into racing, i just want a peppy daily driver, i am not sure at all what to do now..i would love to get a LS motor, and i would save more..but my little D15B7...it was just unexpected, the engine flooded with gas and sat for a week, i cranked and it just flooded more....so i ended up having to put a tube in and blow all the gas out..but after a week of cranking....the piston rings are rather shot now.......and well if i floor it at idel....instant bogage.......if i could hold off for another month i could afford something better, but time is ticking, and i need to do business in other cities that i cannot make it to.....and well i can have the ZC swap shipped to my house and my GF's garage has everything i need.......well shit, same for the LS engine....i just am out of time, and wondering if i do not wait for another LS to come along, will i really be missing anything......if i get a B18A1 the only mod it will have is, and intake, and exhaust for now..if i get the ZC i will still have my 4-2-1 header to go with it...i know it will add like 2 extra foot pounds of torque, and with the ZC trannies gearing it would be pretty peppy, and it would be ran from a PR4 B18A1 ecu....someone help me think about this...i am tired and would like all the feedback and suggestion that i could get....

I would go with the B18A for your set up, they are know to take abuse, since you seem to go thru angines a lot, maybe this one will last a bit longer.

time is ticking though..i dont have time to wait on useless people...and there "i might sell it to you" or "well if i sell it to you at that price then i cannot put a b16 in my car, you give me 200 more and it is your" after we agreed on the price attitude, my engine is in really bad condition, and i do not know how much longer it will last.....

Wait a sec? I thought the reason for DOHC was to get higher revs? Hey Keith if you don't like to rev your motor why don't you stay SOHC? Oh wait a sec, I forgot! You are full of contridictions! LOL I say forget the ZC and the LS and stay D15! KEEP YOU .02 TO YOURSELF IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO HELP ME OUT WITH THIS..... Shut the fuck up ASS! If you don't want other opinions don't post your problems on the fucking board! BTW, There is an LS motor in JC for 500 bucks... you baby :bawling:

i want a DOHC motor because i like the way it looks and there are no bseries cable trannies anywhere....they would end up costing 500-600 after shipping, i will burn my car before i put another d15 into it...i asked a simple fucking question LS vs ZC that is all.. i wanted opinions from people that have driven both...i know about the LS for 500..and i know about one for 550, i know about one for 400, and one for395...i still have to get a tranny, axles, and mounts....fuck it....just drive what i have till the motor wheels fall off

i've driven crx's that have had the swaps done, i gotta say that the ls felt better at the higher rpm's. plus i think they're easier to work on

What a stupid reason to buy a motor. i've driven crx's that have had the swaps done, i gotta say that the ls felt better at the higher rpm's. plus i think they're easier to work on He doesn't care about high rpms. He only wants to operate the motor from 0-3000 rpm. I say go D15 with D17 internals and a HF head. Optimize torque at all cost!!! Stay SOHC because they are DESIGNED not to rev high. :bawling: :bawling: :bawling: :bawling: :bawling:

Just figured I would help.

p.s. Chill out doode, you need to relax quick before you hurt something. I understand the car is falling apart, but rash decisions bite you in the ass in the end. An engine decision requires a lot of thought and hard work, I know, cuz I worked for 8 months for my B16 and I have owned it for 3 years already. You have no idea how much patience it took. Putting up with a lame ass job, etc. The best things come for those who wait. next up TURBO!!!, don't have to wait so long though, this job pays well. :wiggle: :headbang:

back to the original question about the ZC. I have a ZC and am very happy with it. I never even considered the LS so I can't really comment on that motor. Its worth the swap IMO.
