Here is what the guy's add says:
90 Crx Si Black
jdm 89 b16a motor with
weapon R adjustable camgears w/aem cams
dc 4-1 ceramic headers
akimoto short ram intake
obx r cat back exhaust custom 2.25 inch piping
ls ecu
Jdm 91 b16a hydraulic tranny
has 1,200 dollar sound system in it can have if want
90 si seats
momo shift knob
short shifter
it is cool car fast
i will let it go for 3,500 obo and i am open to trades for other hybrids or any hatches 92 and up or a crx si 88-91 plus a little bit of cash or little modifications, or a 91 and up integra.

So far I've talked to him and I'd be trading him my rex with some cash.  Problem is, is that I don't have all the cash right now...  I'd need to borrow a bit.  Also the guy is in cal, where as I'm in Idaho.  So if I get serious about this, I'm thinking I should drive down to cal with the rex...  The next problem is, is that the radiator still leaks just a bit.  So I'm probably gonna have to fix that.  But I'm really hoping I can pull some strings and some how make this shit work.  Hes willing to let go of it fairly cheap and it makes me wonder if its all that good.  What makes this even more problematic is that I'm only 16 and that means that if I borrow cash,  It's gonna have to come from my parents (who never lend me cash, ever).  The thing is, is that my dad owes me a paint job...  So I'm gonna hit this as hard as possible.
Anyways, the body has 105k miles on it, the engine has 44k, and the tranny has 32k.  This sounds good to me.  What do you all think?
Oh, and its a hydraulic tranny, is that gonna give me any probs.  He says its fmooth and stuff.
If i can get things going in my directions, I'll do what i can to get pics and full description of the car.
I could use alot of analysis here!

sounds like a pretty good deal to me, i would have the guy have a compession test done.

i would be careful with the tranny though, if that things goes your in for a nice little project. just make sure he has all the papers for this thing and just ask him every single question you can think of.

take it from me, driving back a new car is a great road trip to take.

but take your time and make sure you cover your ass one hundred percent, one thing you might want to look into since your 16 is the driving age in other states cause if they are older then 16 you cant drive there.

With school starting soon, its not going to make this any easier...
I'm still wondering if it'd be a dumb move...
I know my dad's gonna get pissed when I ask him.  But I can try I guess.  I'll just hit every good point that comes to mind in rapid procession.  When that guy gets back online I'll ask him about having it checked over by a mechanic, a compression test and such.
Anyone know of any problems that could likely go wrong?

I talked to my dad and he was quite understanding and was willing to give me the money, but he won't go to cal.  He said to offer the guy an extra 500 for him to come up instead.  Which I feel is a little low...

i wouldnt buy any hybrid with a hydrolic tranny

if he has an LS ecu, he must have a VTEC controller or something...ask him about that.

is the 񘋰 sound system included with the same price? or extra?

what motor mounts is he using? why is he selling the car? is it lowered? which springs? camber kit? rims?

buying someone elses project is like buying someone elses tumor...you're just asking for a big pain in the neck!  thats just my opinion though :)

well, scratch that, he won't come up to idaho.  I don't really blame him, but it was my only shot...

The thing is, is that I want to be able to test drive it and stuff.  If I have it shipped I won't be able too...

I can't ever see a b16a rex popping up for sale anywhere near here, so I guess I'm just gonna have to do something different...
