alright, right now i'm running a B16A at 12:1 N/A with .40 over block and I was needing some advice for the future.

I want a 5-10psi daily driver at 9:1 compression, so I was wondering if it would be worth saving $ and taking my 12:1 pistons to a shop and have them machined to a 9:1 or should I buy 9:1 pistons and sell my 12:1 pistons. thanks ahead for any input

also would a block bored .40 over hold up to 10psi reliably?

if your only looking to run 5-10 psi i wouldnt even go with 9:1 compression. what i would do is buy another block and have that one worked on, get it re-sleeved and then bored out. then put in 10.5:1 pistons and you can still be able to boost the engine upwards 14psi with some good tuning and have tons of power with little turbo lag.

I would just sellt he pistons and get lower compression pistons. If your rods are stock, you should have those replaced as well. Your sleeves are stock right? They SHOULD be alright even bored .40, as long as you keep it under 10psi.
