well today we got snow, werent suppose to but about 1". yea i know big amount of snow but the problem was there were no plows on the roads till about 7:30. Long Story (for cliff notes skip next paragraph): well like i said there was an inch of snow on the ground and i start heading to work with my CRX at 6am. i get about 1 mile down the road and decided to turn around cause there was no way i was going to make it. so i head home and hang out there watching traffic on the road crawl, and i mean crawl. so 7:30 rolls around and traffic's pace is picking up so i decide to give it another shot. well i get to my side street that runs into the main street and it has a slight slope, well as soon as i hit the hill apex i see its nothing but ice and i slowly hit the brakes but im now sliding, i try easing into the ebrake to help with the rear braking and i start to come out sideways. well traffic is driveing by and im sliding sideways into traffic, then suddenly i hit gravel and come to a stop about 5 feet from a car. at that point im ready to call it a day and i havent been on the road for more then 5 min, but i decide to go on now that i can see the main road is in better condition. well as it turns out im about 6 cars back from the first plow to hit the street so traction was great. then we hit the township boundary and the plow turns around and the road is now just all white and completly iced. so i decide to head on and doing ok for a little while, when i come to another alight hill and start sliding again, i get going maybe 10 feet when BOOM i hit the guard rail with my front passenger bumper corner. regain myself after going mike tyson on the wheel, and continue down the road when within maybe 2 minutes i see the other townships plow making its first pass. Cliff Notes: slid on compact snow/ice and hit guard rail doing maybe 10-15mph Pictures: oh and dont mind the hood, that was there to start with

Yeah lets all pitch in and buy a mansion in florida or cali. Have a house with nothing but CRX's. That would be the shit.

i thought the bumper was toast, all i kept thinking was how many huge cracks tere would be. but i checked close and there are no cracks anywhere on the bumper.
im going to fix that either come summer time or try this weekend in the garage. when im done with this bumper it will truely be a 5mph safe bumper

It'll buff right out!
Hahaha JK man, sorry to hear about the experience. Sliding sucks when it's not done on purpose. At least you didn't bust the headlight, and it seems you've fixed it up nicely so far. Winter does suck a lot of balls sometimes...

please allow me to be the first to say: TYPICAL FUCKIN JERSEY DRIVER!!!!
way to suck at driving in the snow. maybe you want to buy my snow tires now eh? ir maybe for $5 i can take you out and teach you how to drive when there is ice on the road? eh? Anyway that really sucks about the car. i do have compassion for the crx (but not for you, you god damn jersey driver!)
so was this all before i called you? you remember the phone call, you know the one i mean, where i was in the pool on a raft enjoying the blazing sun and you were bitching about snow? yeah, that was fun, lets do it again sometime

ah screw you ass hole, yea this was before the phone call. and i think i figured out why my car sucks so much in the snow, i have serious torque steer. when i gas it it jerks the wheel to the right and when i let off or brake the wheel jerks to the left. so my thinking is that when i was trying to engine brake going down the hills the one wheel was just spinning. i know this cause when i was trying to engine brake the car would stall out which means the wheel was just spinning.
fixing the problem? get a alignment done before next snow storm.
also i do need a passenger side headlight, here is a short list as to parts i need to fix, and if you have them pm me so i can take them off your hands
passenger side clear corner lens passenger side projection headlight passenger side fender passenger side HID bulb, doubt anyone would sell one buy i can ebay a set for $100
