i never heard of it overheating, i think he was talking about it bringing up the charge air temp due to the compression, thus why you would need a intercooler.
personally i would go with a Vortech SC

the JR ones replace your intake manifold and thus might not be enough room to fit in a CRX with a B16, the Vortech's sit to the side of the engine and are usually where the battery is.

What kit do you have, what motor is it on and in what car. Your car may have overheated but probably not due to the supercharger. If you install the kit (99-250 my guess) on a jdm engine then there is some subtle differences you need to address as far as the cooling system goes i.e hoes routing. Also do you have the stock thermostat or do you have the 160 degree stat (a must)? Check to make sure your fan is cyckling (spelling?) properly. But the kit is not at fault.

Also depending on the type of mounts your using for the swap the vortec may not fit in front of the car. At best your at least going to have to relocate your battery and thats even with the hasport mount kit. I honestly dont see it working with the place racing but don't quote me on either statement.

Don't take my word as proof that they over heat, I don't have a JRSC I never have(never will). Thats just what I have heard. Its just because the air has no time to cool down after being compressed and the JRSC also eliminates any possibility of a intercooler because of where its located. Vortech on the other hand does.
