integra dash into a crx

well i got about 90% of the way done before i sold my crx. ill get pics in here soon. but for those of you who are interested.
parts needed:
1- ef center console
2- ef metal cage / bracket
3- ef dash
4- integra shifter console
5- integra e-brake console
6- integra ashtray w/ lighter
7- massive amounts of patience
8- good deal of free time
9- good weather
10- beer (optional)
first thing is first and that is preparation. i had a garage to work in so i just cleaned out my garage and got all my tools together. screwdrivers, ratchets, electric drill, etc.
i recommend doing this in warm weather, as doing it in the cold is not really fun.
start by taking out the crx center console. put all the screws in one can because there are going to be plenty coming out.
disconnect the battery. also download the workshop manual from the site to see a diagram of how to take out the dash.
take out your steering wheel so you have more room to work with.
take out your cluster clover along with the cluster.
disconnect the dash harness from underneath by the fuse panel. its three connections / plugs.
unscrew the mounting bolts of the crx dash using 10mm socket. there are six bolts all toghether. this will loosen the dash, pull it a little bit forward and get underneath to unscrew the screws that attach the harness to the dash it self. follow the harness around to see all the screws. once this is done take out the dash.
ok now here is where i didnt have the civic dash so i just used my crx dash.
with the crx dash out, take off the crx metal bracket and attach the civic bracket. and put the dash back in and the integra console will fit fine into it.
but the problem lies where the civic console wont match upto the integra console and creative imagination takes over.
also you would lose function of your glove box.
but in theory since i didnt have the civic dash. here is what to do with the civic dash.
replace the civic dash in for teh crx dash. everything should line up bolts wise because ef's are pretty much similar.
replace the screws along the harness behind the dash. follow your reverse steps with the civic dash. and install your integra console. things should fit and line up appropriately.
you would need the integra ashtray / cointray w/ lighter to fill the hole where your integra dash connects to the civic dash. my integra console didnt come with this.
good luck. and post pics up in this thread if you go the whole way.
