Hi,

While at my brothers house a few weeks ago, I noticed my neighbor was selling his CRX.

100$.

Has bad engine, CV boots, missing one seat (it has a Recarro!), needs new hood, and missing minor trim panels, and 3 of four tires flat.

I am very good at fixing interior and minor outside parts, but the engine, and CV boots are beyond me.

It's a 5spd. And I am happy I recently learned how to drive one.

Holy shit. i would kill a preacher and leave my wife and kids on Christmas morning for that deal. Ok maybe I wouldn't kill the preacher but I would love to get a deal like that. I am constantly looking for a local beat up rex to make brad new again just the way I like it.

go for it. and auction it up for highest bidder. or find another cheap crx, beat, crashed whatever for cheap. and combine the two and be golden for less than a grand spent.

How's the rest of the body? Any rust? I'd definitely do it, fix it up best I can without spending too much, sell and make some $$$

that's a damn good deal. hopoefully there's not too much rust on the outside. now all you need to do is find one with a wrecked body but good engine and rape it for parts. good luck

I can drop a 100 in one nights drinkin' at a local bar... I think dropping a 100 in a crx is a hella good investment. If anything, that's a great platform for a track car, autocross car, or road racing car. Where are you located, some of us in this board are crazy mech techs that like to help out.. like keith.. heheheh

WEll,

I guess I will go for it. A B16A transplant will set me back a few grand, (less I find a wrecked Teg GSR or LS cheap) and perhaps a few more to get matching seats ( have one extra seat from my Corolla, might fit, but it will be a weird match).

How much would a B16A turbo cost? Or a plain B16A?

Hey...

I've seen JDM Corollas, and Tegs, but what do CRXs look like all JDMed?

If by "JDMed" you mean done up with stock JDM parts it looks pretty much the same with minor differences.

If you mean the fad, they can look pretty damn clean.

yea hte JDM version are only minor differences, more or a difference as to what motor you got then anything.

personally i would go with a stock B16 swap, maybe with some minor bolt ons if you want more power. then your able to go fast without killing the wallet.

WEll I mean like, not Gay JDMing, but good looking JDMing. My Corolla is getting a Metallic JDM Grey paintjob, and Matching black or Grey 15" rims. And let me tell you, she looks HOT in that color. (did some photoshopping)
