Zc has shorter gear ratios than the Si. If you can do a ZC/Si hybrid then go for it. I think you have to change the drive shaft as well though. Add the final gear ratio to the ZC tranny and you're good to go! But it mainly depends on if you plan on going turbo, etc?

if you use the Si tranny i think the axles you have will work if you use the zc tranny i think you have to figure out what to do about the axles.

u need new axles with teh zc tranny. teh zc tranny acceerlates faster and the gears are shorter. id go with si so u can resuse ur axles but teh zc is nice for racing.

well to tell you the truth i am pretty impressed with the zc tranny. an on-ramp that i frequent often when i get onto the interstate usually i can get around 70mph with my old si tranny, with the new zc tranny i am hitting at least 80mph so yeah the acceleration is alot better but you have to sacrifice top-end wihich i dont mind i dont need to be doing 123 anyway! if you have any questions about the differential swap feel free to ask me questions on aim RAYD2000 or just look at the post "tranny question" good luck

I ran on all three. Si, then ZC then Hybrid (ZC with si Final gear)
ZC had marked improved accelleration but God damn highway cruising was stoopid... The Hybrid was great. Wouldn't do it any other way

W/ the ZC tranny u will need a 90-91 Teg intermediate shaft and driver side axle. Passenger side will be the same as a 88-91 CRX. Or do the differential swap that crxjunkie did. (he thinks he is special, like some sort of pioneer or somethin. :? )

If the trans is out there is NO reason a shop would charge more than two hours labor. My shop I was using at the time charged me $75 to take the final Si trans drive and install it into the ZC trans
