This may sound like common sense, I'm just covering my ass though.  I couldn't hook the tubing that came with the intake directly into the motor because it wouldn't fit and the factory adapter/heat shrink tubing wouldn't come off so I hooked the hose to the old hose through that little metal tip and then ran it into the intake.  I have a lot of tubing that is just being pushed down though, should I cut it off and have less tubing from point to point (quicker path) or does it not matter?  Get back to me.  It's the dragon intake.

Nevermind, I managed to cut the heat shrink/adapter thing in half and reconnect from the valve cover straight to the pipe.  All hooked up now.  Man is it cool too.  Not all does it sound and look cool, but my car has this smoother run to it now.  I might just be imaging the most of it but I like it.  Anyone recommend the ram air upgrade for a rex?
