I know this is a CRX forum. I apologize for such a random thought, but did anyone catch the 1000hp Caddilac on 24's in Motor Trend.  I know it will never be a car beyond concept but bear with me...

A Toyota Supra has 6 cylinders...tuners extract over 1000 hp pretty frequently now.

The Cadillac Concept has a V16 base of 1000hp.

Now leaving out the whole traction factor since high horsepower is rarely able to be stuck to the track....

Discussion:
On an unlimited budget, give me your theories on a turbo setup for the V16 Cadillac, Est. HP numbers, and why you think it would/wouldn't work.  This is just a bs topic for fun.  I just want to see what tuners mind can create.  If you need to build a theoretical hood cowl to fit your turbo setup, thats fine.

Mine would go something like an equation:  Twin Turbo High HP Supra 6 cyl.  Now Single turbo makes more power on all six, but with lag.  Run two Turbos, either 2 HKS T51rSPL Ball Bearing Turbos, or 2 Turbonetics Y2K turbos, with a healthy shot of the good stuff to spool them.  They are rated at 1000hp per turbo, but I say combined with the V16 may produce 2400-2700 in harmony.  I dunno.  Really guessing.  It'll never be done anyway.

Peace All.
Have Fun.

i would steal vinny ten's turbo from his supra, throw it on the caddy, and be ripping up the streets of new jersey in a 1500 horsepower caddy.

my question would be why, why would you need more power? and if you do need more 4 nitrous kits should solve that problem.

But lets just say that the 1000HP isnt enough and you would want to go turbo then what i would do is get a Diesel truck, the big rigs, turbo and then use a "small" sc61 or sc63 to just spool that monster up.

First of all, I don't even think it was in the April issue...
Second, if it was a Motor Trend April Fools Joke, then someone better tell cadillac to stop spending millions of Dollars just to bring a joke to life.  While you're at it try to convince the people who attended the Detroit auto show that they didn't really see this car.  It was Only a figment of their imagination.

i was at the NY Auto Show and saw it in person so its no April Fools joke. The huge is fucking huge though, more engine bay then rest of the car.

remember this is still a CNOCEPT car which means no real reason for production... yet

Okay, so now that everybody knows its a real concept, one that will never be able to be modified, lets go back to the definition of the word THEORY!  I want to know what you would do if you had an unlimited budget on this car and motor, and with all the turbo science thus discovered...
...
...post YOUR best Cadillac 16 buildup, sickest display of horsepower, 26" Rims to replace the 24's, race seat instead of $1/4 Million interior, snake eyes on the hood, whatever!   (JK about the snake eyes!)

I want to know how the most creative but reasonable mechanic or scientist would turbocharge sixteen cylinders of internal combustion engine.  I want to hear about your $50,000 bottom end to hold a 350 shot of nitrous in 5 different stages.  Pretend this was for real, and we'll see how far we can take it.

Hell, take photoshop and design some body styling with big shopping-cart wings and cow-catcher cowl induction front bumpers, etc.

Just show me your creative side.

3 easy steps
1. Sell the car
2. Buy a R34
3. crank out the power to 1000hp and then just do some AWD burnouts

i think this whole idea of lets see what you would do would work better with a smaller more practical car like an insight (aka 4th gen CRX)

the only purpose i can see out of making a 1000hp car crank out more power is if your going to drag race it. If that was the case i would do this...

strip the car down to the frame and use CF as the body and interior build. Take the engine block and reinforce the pistons and rods, make the engine high compression and through on a monster TF Drag Supercharger with some TF Drag tires on the back
