Ok, I just got a call from Honda (they're doing my ZC swap) and they told me that my dizzy wiring has to be redone.
I thought that ZC bolts right up to the Si?

Plus they told me that my timing is way off. And that my car won't run without it. Can someone please tell me how the timing is supposed to be?

I'm desparate, this swap has sucked my account dry. I have no money and don't really have much of a choice.
Please help!

Yes you will need to do some rewiring. I bet the first problem they encountered was the plugs aren't the same shape so they won't match up. That's easily fixed by pulling the pins out and connecting them to their appropriate wires. The other problem would be the two wires for the Cylinder position sensor. That one is also easily remedied by splicing the wires so that they stretch longer and then plugging them to the wires on the other end. (they're color coded, I think blue with yellow stripe and blue with green stripe, not sure). Hope that helps man. It really shouldn't be too difficult of a swap for them or you. But good luck.

As well, when they swap a motor, of course the timing is going to be off. It only takes a minute to ensure the belt is in the right place, than set your base timing, if a honda dealer can't do that, than they are fucked.

Heres the thing though.
My timing belt was supposed to be done from the place I got my engine from. So I thought that the timing would be fine. Am i wrong?

Thanks NeophyteDMD.
Can anyone confirm it though? That way I can tell them how to do it.

They wanna charge me 3 hrs though for all this...

Thanks again people!
Just need to double check!

man just take your car back, and run the 2 extra wires and set your timing yourself, all for free, why would you pay to have that done?

Well I talked to Honda today and they're only charging me for the timing belt (2hrs of labour) they didnt charge me for doing the re-wiring.

As for why I didnt do it myself. I lack the tools needed to do the swap.

The ZC is in my car and it looks good in the engine bay.  Tongue
I hope the rest of the swap goes well!
