You will need:
Around 5 quarts of oil
Oil filter,
12-14 mm socket with wratchet
Jack
Oil filter remover
Oil pan
First: You jack the car up, make sure its safe to get under.
Second: You loosen the oil plug, 10 mm socket, which is on the oil pan.
Third: You move the oil pan UNDER the oil pan on the car, and let all the oil that comes out, drip in the oil pan. Make sure it all drips out. Also, clean your oil plug, make sure it has no little peices of anything on the end(see bottom).
Fourth: Get your oil filter remover, and losen the filter, your oil filter, on Hondas, is on the back of the block. Watch out, there will be oil which comes out of the oil filter. So if the car is still warm watch out!
Fifth: Put the oil plug back in the oil pan, which is on the car.
Sixth: Put the NEW oil filter back on the car.
Seventh: Put about 4 and a half quarts of oil, depending on the car.
The reason you clean your oil plug, is becuase oil plugs are magnetic. Therefore, if you have any little loose metal particles, it will all attach to the oil plug. It will be better to clean all those off then to put it back in dirty.
Good luck changing oil.

When Changing the Oil...

If you really want to help your engine out a LOT, then before you change the oil, go down to your local auto parts store and buy a can of:
"Berrymans B-12 ChemTool" (it's a white metal can w/ red and blue letters)
and follow the instructions for oil. it cleans out the case and gets all the parts (like the pump) nice and clean. It also helps to make the old oil a little runny so more of it comes out and less sticks to parts inside (because who wants dirty oil mixed into the nice new clean stuff?). Berrymans seems to help restore performance when used in the oil and also in the gas...hope this helps you all!
