ok, here's some newbie questions...
if he had a 91 civc hb, and after install and shipping prices for a motor swap you had just over $3000, would you?..
buy a B16A1 or a B16A2 or (save up/get a loan for) a B18C1 (GSR) or a H22A or do a B20 hybrid?
also, what all does the B20 hybrid include?

Yeah, an H22 would cost more than you're willing to spend and drag your car to the ground. It's over twice the weight of a stock engine I believe. The c1 is nice but again, more than you're willing to spend (unless you have bottomless pockets). To install either of these engines would be a pain but the H22 would be like shoving a brick up your pee pee hole. The GSR motor is easier but you have to deal with a hydro tranny and OBD II ECU. Other words, it's a pain in the ass (or penis if you're stilling thinking about my earlier comment).
I say go with the B16 and do some mods to it. $3000 for the engine and bolt-on goodies is a nice start for sure.

I say sell the hb, add that money to your 3k, and then buy a rex maybe with a ZC or b16 already in it. AND WHEN THE hell ARE THE SMILEY FACES COMING BACK SPEC?!?!

i'm not going to wait for a REX around here, they all r asking for $2000+, why do that when i can get a nice looking Civic HB w/ a bad motor for $200?
would you guys do some cams, valves, springs, and gears or would u do a intake manifold, header, and suspension, 1st?
both will b done w/in a month or so of each other, but which one 1st?
also what intake manifold would u guys suggest? ITR, Skunk, etc?

Then I would think about buying an intake manifold. As far as which intake mani, I don't know. I'm not a resident B16er around here. Ask Phatty or Shark if he ever comes back.

The ITR manifold is quite nice. But I would do what lemon said first, he had a good point.

ITR, definately, because you might not encounter clearance issues with the lower crossmember. I just did a swap into an HF and he has the stock header, no problems with clearance. Mine on the other hand, starts making noise if you take a hard turn and the tires start squealin.
