Okay my goal is to go 140 mph just so I can beat most cars on the highway.  (I hate being limited to 120).  The 99-00 SI's can reach 140 mph, they have B16A2 rite??  so what about a B16a on a CRX???   I am curious!!

your gearing has too be right and you can go that fast but if you go with one of the normal trannys that the engine comes with you'll top out at about 125, but you'll woop a civic si to that speed.

I burned one really badly on the free way and I wasn't sure he was still racing then I toped out and noticed that he was slowly catching up so i took the next exit before he cought up :)

#### that speed limiter.
I think that a Rex with a B16 can go 140 but that will be topping out man.

depends on the tranny and the gearing...

140mph is not going to happen in a civic Si or a crx with a b16 engine most likely. 1) you'll kill yourself (front end flip up - you die) and 2) you're speedo would have to be reading something like 155-160mph in order for you to actually be traveling at 140mph....speedo's are NOT accurate at high speeds at all

ok i know that a b-16a2 can do 140 with a mugen ecu my sister has that in her 92hatch.she tops out at that i know this because a friend of mine wired up a s2k gauge cluster in his hatch (gsr swap)and went down the free way side by side with her and i saw his seppdo hit 140 once or twice so it can be done with an b-16a2 now the a1 i dont realy know abouti guess its all up to the tanny

what i was saying is that even if the speedo reads 140, you're still only traveling at like 125-130 MAYBE...

it all depends on the gearing of the car and the rev limit. i redlined with a custom geared tranny and i was only in the 130's...(dont know for sure because our speedo's only go to 120), but if you can rev to 9500 rpms than you can theoretically get a higher top speed (if you have the hp to pull the car up to those speeds)

air resitance is a bitch...and so are innacurate speedometers

GPS's are nice and cool.  They actually stay in technology pretty well because that stufff doesn't really change to much ya know.  It only gets more detailed.

140 in a civic or crx....Hold on?!...Ok please follow these instructions:

Lower your head so that it is between your legs...

Now, KISS YOUR ASS GOOD BYE...

As mentioned allready, flip over and die. These cars jsut dont have the aerodynamics or weight to hold on to the earth at those speeds. Even if you could get an ECU, Engine, Tranny combo to do it.

Even at 120mph these cars start to feel REAL UNSAFE. Yes, I have done it, it's a scary feeling.

Now that I have a 3800 lb car, 120 is like doing 80 in a crx (not speed wise) safety feeling...

At 163mph she starts to feel slightly uneasy, but I need ALL new shocks, they are pretty worn...
