Okay, my rear fender or whatever the hell you call em in the back is rusting like mad in this one little splotch.  I shaved it down and bondoed it and primed it before I had my car painted but it's back. Anyway, in the future I wanna fix it.  What's an average tha ta body shop might charge? It's about a 3 inch diameter rust that goes all the way through.  If that's too expensive how much would it cost to replace the whole piece?

It will cost a ton more to replace the entire thing, that piece is very expensive.  They are going to have to weld a new little piece.  I would think 500 max with paint.

Theres no way its worst than my car was!
I was looking at getting new rear panels and Honda wanted $500 CAD for each one.

If ya do go the junkyard route, keep in mind that you could have the same problem appear in the future.

Why not try out fiberglass, its almost as durable and wont rust, plus you cant tell the difference unless ya put a magnet to it.

doubt junkyard would be good idea.  the qps would be in worse shape from being exposed to the elements plus youd have to cut it off the car and what not.  better off paying honda or welding new metal in.  i kno whow you feel.  i had mine done back in october and already i can see it starting to real its ugly head.  im gonna see if the warranty on the job covers that.  also, im starting to get rust underneat where my sideskirts screw in near the door.  anyone know how to treat this?  possible to weld in new metal there or have to replace the whole thing as well_  not sure what all the piece would consist of.  i dont think its too bad yet, just on the top
