I can't say I care much for the nitto tires, I have the 450's and they just are not what peopel crack them out to be...

same here i thought the nitto's were going to be better, i mean sure i ran a 12.3 second 1/4 on them... but #### if i had better tires i'd probably have been in the 11's... if i were you i'd check out kuhmo's escsta or whatever it's called. they're supposed to be some of the best tires out... and cheaper than the nittos. i had 16x7 inch wheels with 205 wide tires on my crx and it was fine. if i were you i'd stick to 16's. to me they look best on a crx... not to big not too small... peace...

I agree on the wheel size, I have 16's and I think they are as big as I would go, and people mistake them for 17's all the time.  And the kumho tires are susposed to be real good.

as far as performance goes, are 16s going to be any better than like 14s or 15s?

Generally speaking, the bigger the wheel, the more the weight, the greater the centrfical(sp) mass, the harder the  wheel is to turn, whcih means the less torque and HP you put to the ground.

You want a light wheel, yes.  You also don't want an 80 mm sidewall!  I say 15 or maybe 16 would be the best.  Of course you were planning on drag racing your car.  Let me inform you that you would have to drop so much money into your CRX to make it a 10 second car.  Also, It COULD NOT be a daily driver.  So if you want a 10 second CRX, this thread is pointless.  Go with tiny drag wheels up front and really skinny rear drag wheels in the back...

Then buy a trailer and a truck cause it can't be driven on the street
