it just started a couple days ago, after my car has been sitting awhile and has cooled down, when i go to start it it it revs real low, like under 1000 rpms. at the same time its smokin like  mofo out the tailpipe. its white smoke, and smells like its burning coolant. after about 15-30 seconds of this it clears out and runs fine, no smoke etc. i checked the plugs and the 3rd spark plug was covered in oil. wtf? does my head gasket need to be done again? do i need a new motor?....not a bad idea, b16 mmmm...

a little help? please?

White Smoke....sounds like Oil leak to me....burned coolant...mmmm.....I think your head gasket is giving way.   I had a head gasket blow while driving throught the desert....sent coolant into the cylinders...fucked my eng up. Luckily it was under warranty and I got it replaced with another ZC.  Either its your head gasket or rings....either way I would run a compression test on each cylinder to be sure you dont have a serious problem.

Honda engines all idle at around 800 rpm so the idle isn't bad.  The white smoke, yeah, that sucks.  Sounds like your head gasket or rings.  And like CRexer101 said, you might want to do a compression test.

I am gonna agree.  Since it has set for a while I would check alot of your gaskets.  They seem to go bad if you let it sit.  I would also flush and fill all the fluids and change the filters.

Only 1000rpm when you first start it??? A cold start??? It should be at least 1500rpm when it's cold...ie. left over night. ####, white smoke means coolant, or, you could just have some water in your gas, and that could be why it stops smoking after a bit.
