Hey whats up.. Havnt been here in a while...

Well.. I finnally have some money saved up and its time for a swap.   B16 or ZC?  Some people say the ZC is a better and more reliable engine... Where b16 is good.. but the power kicks in at higher rpms.  What do you guys suggest?  I have money for ZC now.. or should I save up for b16?   give me some input... thanks

I dont think its really a fair comparison between the two....they're in like two different 'classes', especially in regards to price....if you were to say 'zc or sohc vtec' or b16 or b18'...I think those are fairer comparisons. everyone's gonna say b16.... (and I agree)...it really all depends on your wallet Wink

Homos!

Anyways, one thing is, the ZC is NOT the most reliable engine either....... they eat up distributors. THey are just about as reliable as a b16a...

But these guys are right, its not a fair comparison.

I remember, 3500 posts ago on SHO, this was my very FIRST post ever, I asked the same question Smiley

plus if you want to go turbo on the zc, and accidently blew it all up, itll only cost you about 400 bucks to get a new zc, instead of the 900 for the b16 considering nothing happens to your tranny.....
