i'm getting the Zex kit soon.

Say like u just shift to 2nd gear and u just flick the switch or u turn it on..I'm thinking u just tap the switch to feed the n20 for alittle bit each time u shift right?

i have no idea where to refill the bottle.  but i know there's a place here in Austin TX somewhere.

Installing it myself would be easy.

only thing i'm wondering about is when i hit the switch. On when i floor it and off when i'm switching right?

i dont think ZEX works the way you think it does.
Its computerized, you Arm the system with the switch. Then the system will only inject when you are at WOT.

I guess you could already be at WOT and then flip the switch and it would work, but ive never seen anyone do that. there site explains everything. ive only seen it used at the track, and they guy i know that was running it arms in before he launches and he doesnt floor it in first then when he hits second he just floors it. call up ZEX, they can answer your questions

And ZEX recommends that you run their spark plugs. of course they are extra  Smiley

I am not sure your picking everything up.

First, run the Zex plugs, they are suppose to run colder so thats agood for the Nitrous
Second, you hit a switch, its either on or off.  Depending on the kit you get it will either kick in at Full throttle or just be on or off.
Your going to blow your shit up.

i run a NOS kit in my race car 100shot direct port with the button mounted on my steering wheel (i did this before F&F ok so dont give me no shit!) i think the button is more convienent than some comp i run 2steps colder with me spark plugs and i only squeeze over 3K rpm and i squeeze in every gear even first. So i say NOS kits since they been around for the longest

You basically got the answer already but heres a little more about it..  You would want your NOS ZEX kit(its a joke, haha, laugh, i am not that dumb...), to come on not before 3000 RPM, probably best around 3200-3500 RPM, and then dont take it all the way up.  Most Nitrous kits suggest to shut the Nitrous off before you shift.  But I think the ZEX kit is pretty good like that.  I have also been told by a few people the NGK plugs will work just as good as the ZEX plugs.

Ohh yea, 90Trex, by the way, your REX is clean, haha, I plan on getting some Shogun side skirts to go along with my WW front bumper, and Intruder rear, I am gonna try and sell my intruder rear though and get a WW..

you still dont get it.  THE NOS KIT HAS A BUTTON to push to spray n2o. ZEX kit is controlled by an electric "button".  A computer pushes it.
ZEX step 1:  open bottle.
2:  turn system on.
3.  floor the gas pedal to spray nitrous.
ANY TIME you push the gas pedal all the way down the system will spray n2o.  there is no button any where to press. NO BUTTONS.  you wanna press a button get the NOS kit, not the ZEX kit.

All you get is arming switch, NMU (the computer that pushes the "button"), bottle, and lines.

ahhh okay..seems much safer to me.  i just want a little more power to spank some shit talkers.  so Zex kit basically works on WOT...

CimorelliCRX: i don't think you should get the shogun sides. my 2 centz...cuz
1. mine didn't fit right.
2. After a while, where u screw it in to the fender in the back fender, it breaks off which u gotta refiberglass or drill another hole for it.

It's  a pain but damn the skirts are low..oh BTW it's hard to paint the inside of the scoop..

I know some of this has already been said but I have the kit so I guess I can offer some help.
The Zex kit uses a computer My engine with Zex computer mounted  which reads various things such as bottle pressure and fuel maps.  This ensures that the bottle won't spray when the pressure is too high or too low.  It also reads if the engine is running lean or rich to ensure that you don't shoot too much N2O in the motor when its not needed.

For the switch:  You arm the switch either before you launch or when you shift into second.  The computer shoots the N2O when you hit wide open throttle because there is a switch on your throttle body that you install and when the throttle switch hits it it shoots the N2O.  This is the only way you can shoot with the Zex kit.  The kit will spray in every gear that you hit WOT.  So if you arm it before you launch then it will shoot in first gear, then you shift same in second then third and so on.

Zex says their kit is the safest kit out there and upon reading their website you feel a little better but too much N2O is not good as we all know.  I read on SHO about some kid who went through 3-4 bottles a week and armed his kit at every light and blew the motor within 3 months.  Its all a matter of how much you use it and how you use it.
Hope this helps.

yea and then the cpu messes up and it keeps spraying and you blow your motor ive seen it over a dozen times throttle activaed switches can get stuck i dont trust a cpu for nos if i push the button i can let go, makes me feel safer
