i am ready to drop my crx, i'm sure some of you have either one of these setups. I don't have money for the one piece complete coilovers. so i'm choosing between sleeves or springs. Can someone give me some insight on this subject. Which one is better on a crx. I've heard coilovers are bouncy, but i like the idea of adjusting ride height. Then again, i hear springs are not as bouncy and a little cheaper. So what do you experts recommend on a crx w/b16. I was checking out ground control coilovers, they look appealing anyone had experience with those?

I'm oldschool. I'll never (well, I don't think) use anything but good 'ol springs. I just don't like the idea of having a sleeve over my damper and then having something that can spin on that and then a spring just resting on top. Too mny parts that can screw up.
I'll tell you if I was going to get coilover sleeves, I'd get ground control.

well, my first car that i had was dropped on some rsr race springs and those were pretty nice... i'd buy another set if they still imported them... but they don't. so i'm going to say go with eibach springs, either their pro-lines or their 2 inch lowering springs, not sure what they're called. from what i've heard a cheap set of coilovers that are pretty good and are only sleeves are maxspeed coilovers. anyways they have them on www.groupbuycenter.com right now for like 140 a set... just thought you'd like to know... if it were me personally i'd go with some eibach pro kits... peace...

if you decide on coil overs give weaponrcrx a call and see what type of deal he can get you on them. He's the man for weapon-r goodies!

5gencivic, you know, my friends told me the same thing maxspeed coilover were pretty good, i had my mind set on groundcontrol, cause it seems like they mainly focus on suspension. But oh well, maxspeed are way cheaper. Now comparing the ride quality and cornering characteristics of the two, which is better, sleeves or springs, i'm guessing springs. I'm not about being low for looks, i would like to have a smooth ride as well.

Neuspeed Sport or Eibach ProLine for springs. I've got the Neuspeeds and they're nice. I've ridden in cars with Eibachs and they feel exactly like my Nuespeeds. Just make sure to stich out your shocks as soon as you can. Stock shocks and aftermarket springs don't go very well together. It will work but you'll kill the stock shocks pretty quickly.

How bout intrax? I was looking at those last night, I know they aren't a well known suspension brand like eibach, but they do have the drop that I like...
Also on eibach's sportline's, whats with them needing an alignlment kit? Is it very expensive?

I have intrax, for the same reason actually, they had the drop i wanted. I haven't had any other type of spring but I see no problem with intrax, the ride is nice and it handles nice...

i have springs and sturts on my si, and i love the setup, but for my dx i plan on getting Skunk2 coilovers (heard nothing but great comments about them from people who use them) and a set of tokico illumina's
i want/need the adjustability and im willing to sacrifice my hatred of sleeves for the convenience of them....
the ride wont be bouncy if you have a set of coilovers and sturts that work well together....if the springs and struts are very different though (like an aftermarket spring and a stock shock for example) you'll get a bouncy ride.

Springs are where its at. I dont like sleeves one bit, yet I have never had them. But that just my opinion.
