how do you reset the ecu on a 93 prelude (vtec) ?

new engine was just installed, and the engine light stays on, also, the rev limiter is set at about 6500 rpm, vtec is disabled.. someone has told me that the ecu is in 'saftey mode' or something like that?

how to reset this?

unhook your battery for about 10-15 minutes and then hook it back up and turn on the car and let it idle for about 5 minutes.  Thats how you do it to my knowledge :)

Make sure you have everything wired correctly, that might be the problem.
