Anyway, I dropped off my rex today to have it paitned. The Maaco I ended up taking it to was 15 miles away, but it's a really nice place. Like the building you see on their site. I think it'll turn out fine. ANYWAY
How the hell do you put in power locks? I asked tihs once before but no one replied. I know how to hook them up but I don't know shit about wiring. Do I need to buy relays or can I use the ones in the fuse box? And how do I hook the switch up and what kind? Anyone who's done it or knows how respond?

I believe you can get JDM powerlocks but I am not sure, I would check around on ebay. Also I know alot of people just build them in into their car alarm.

JDM power windows will work, but you need the complete JDM doors. Also, unless your car is right hand drive, you will need to custom wire everything for LHD. It's possible, but kind of o' bitch. I would recommend an aftermarket power window conversion kit. They will work just as well, and only add 5-10 lbs. I think the name of the kit my friend used was Autoloc. He replaced his stock power windows on his 95 Si hatchy with these.

I just bought the two AAMP actuators off my brother for 30 bucks not realizing it was alittle more complicated then I thought. They're basically two blue wires coming from each actuator which pull the locking mechanism back and foreward. Wiring that is what I need to know.

depends how you plan to do it, you can hook the actuators into your alarm (assuming you have one) and then make it lock un-lock when you arm and disarm your arlarm. Or I beleive if you hooked them into a switch you'd need some type of relays, of course depending on the alarm you may need relays too i think...

I don't have relays, that's my question. What kind and where do I get them? I don't have an alarm. My car doors are stock. =) I know how to hook the actuators up, just not the wiring.

It should be pretty simple. Power, ground, relay, switch.
