Ookkaaay.. So it'll be ANOTHER week before I can put my struts/springs/strut bars/camber kits on so I was looking at the inside of my car and realizing a few things, a lot of the black plastic pieces inside it are different colors.  I don't mean like the dark grey and light grey differences, I mean some of the dark grey doesn't match up with other dark grey pieces.  So I want to get that fixed next as I clean up my interior.
So here are my options.
1.  Find a CRX that all the panels in good condition and matching colors and buy those.
2.  Repaint the dark grey pieces flat black.  This is the option I'm liking.  I thought maybe I could just clean them up real good with soap and water, then I'd only have to lightly sand them so I can keep that rough look then prime+paint.  Or should I sand it down nice and smooth and change the texture of the plastics so that it'll gloss a little.  What do you guys thing? Rough or smooth? And how do you think a strong black will look? I think it'll look good especially with the white exterior and that kinda shiny-ness to the vinyl on the door panels.

Okay.  I went out and looked at it.  Here's the prob, the plastiuc that goes around the inside around the door, the big panel, has splotches of white from overspray when I painted the door panels.  So I definetely have to do something, if I can, I may just swap those panels out with my brothers from his CRX that he's parting out, it's an 89 SI though it should fit a 90 SI right?  Now here's the next thing, the center console is a much lighter grey then the glove box and the stuff it connects to.  I think this is because of the acetone I used to clean up the edges when I painted the accents of that piece blue.  Is there some sort of color restorer I can use? I'm gonna try a few coats of armor all or megiuars tommorow.   If i do decide to actually repaint everything, which I'm starting to think twice about, I think if I did that I'd honestly have to use vinyl or it'd be a bitch to take out EVERY panel and the tool box and everything.  The pieces don't have many sharp edges so I think that'd be fine, but I'd really like to keep the stock interior color.  I'm gonna go take a look at my brothers rex tuesday and see if his will match mine.  If anyone knows some sort of chemical I could use on all the pieces that might either fade or restore the colors all to consistency that be great.  In fact I just changed my mind about the whole repainting idea, that's definetely easier said then done and probably won't look as well.  I'm hoping my bro will do it for free and I'll give him my pieces.

I've also heard that if I just use acetone or brake cleaner to take the paint off since it'll fade the plastic a little but the color can be restored with armorall or something.  I'm gonna try some brake cleaner on it tommorow and see what happens, I know the overspray is gonna come off no prob I just don't wanna have to end up washing down my interior with acetone or something to make it all the same color.

Try nail polish remover for the overspray, it works on somethings really well, but test it out on a hidden part of your door to make sure it wont permanently stain or anything.
