4 - 1 is the better header for the B16.  It will help you the most.

hey if they say that the headers will fit on a civic 88-91 all models does that mean that they will fit on my rex? and yeah explain why 4-1 would be better to me as well.

Isn't 4-1 high end power?

I'd go with the 4-2-1 for low end power, because that's what the B16 lacks. You have enough high end with that 2nd cam (:finger: Cheesy)

If 4-1 is low end power, you have my apology.

4 to 1 is for top end power. He was probably saying it is better because since the b16 is top end power, the 4 to 1 would help it.

It just depends on what you want. low or top end power?

The 4-1 is better for the B16 because the fact it is for high end power.  Which is where the powerband on the B16 happens to be, hence you net the most.  On the D Series motors they are more mid powerband so a 4-2-1 is better for them and gives them enough back pressure to provide enough torque at the same time.

it all depends on where and how much power you want to make. if you are just fooling around with bolt-ons and that's all you're ever going to do, i/h/e then a 4-2-1 header will suit you fine. however if you are messing with high lift cams and head work then check out either an smsp header or at the least a dc sports 4-1 header. the smsp header will cost you a shit load but will make un-believeable amounts of power because they tailor make it to your specs for your motor. you tell them what you will finish the motor off with and then they make you a header. some one told me you would look at about 700 dollars when all said and done for a smsp but shit it's worth it. another thing to remember is that just a header won't do shit. the header is only part of the exhaust system. you have to get an exhaust that matches up to your header or you will be doing yourself no good what so ever.

hmm $700 is kind of out of my price rang for now Smiley maybe a little more down the line  I have a the?? something I forget right now have to go back and check and a custom bent piping with a high flow cat . I was going to use the shock one for a bit but the flange is a t 45 degree angle. I will have to get it re-welded to work . I want to get some skunk2 cam next  so I guess I should get the dc headers. I might be looking at a little N2o in the spring also the Venom kit looks really good  but it still going to drive it daily I hope unless I get a company car then I will just drive it on the weekends Smiley well see would those cam work with the venom kit ??I have seem the header for like $279 plus shipping I think not too bad I want to see a few 13 time slips so I was hope with my y1 tranny LSD will help get my down the track faster Smiley   I wanted to try a little auto cross but there doesn't seem to be any around here I like in NE land of suck ass roads and lots of snow Smiley
