so check it out i'll let you guys be the judge. this is what gude sent me, if you want the pics they sent me too then just ask... i'll email them to you. basically it was a scanned in dyno sheet showing a sohc 91 si with just the head package pulling a 150 hp 123.2 lb/ft run with nothing but the head on the motor. that was it, no i/h/e all stock accept for the racing head package. i'm getting one of these when i get my new si hatch (gotta sell the goddamn motor first) and then i'll see ya'll later... peace...

www.gude.com
it's a guy named bill gude. his stuff for sohc motors is supposed to be good for hondas. other than that people have had problems with his stuff for dohcs and other stuff. anyways go with a head package for your sohc 1.6 d16a6 and you get like a 45-50 hp gain to the wheels... plus add an intake header and exhaust onto that with proper fuel enrichment and you've got yourself a fast ass sohc...

Say anywhere what the compression would be after the package?
Low enough for F/I or not?

11.0:1 i don't know if i mentioned this before but after this is done, then you're kind of screwed for things to do to your motor. the only thing left is to beef up the bottom end, stroke the bottom end or run nitrous. after that you're done... nothing much left you can do... that kinda blows if you're looking for more power... but hey nos can be fun right? :)

Yup, #### skinny-ass rods on D series engines!  Ha ha, so of course, I get another one to put into my car!  But look at it this way, their still WAY stronger than almost any domestic rods.  Exceptions being the ZO6 and Viper.  I still can't believe the variances between the rods, etc. in domestic engines.

Gude sucks.  He sells heads that "look" like they are ported.  That hp figure is probably on an engine dyno.  I have heard nothing but bad things about Gude.

yeah i've heard that everything that gude sells for sohc motors is good. but that anything else... like a dohc motor or something else sucks ass. personally i think i'm going to go with DPR stage VI again and get a good cam from someone who uses billets. dpr kicked ass and it's not that hard to get a computer reprogramed... hmm... so it's either gude or dpr... ####...

If you are going All Motor, get some Spoon Sports JDM ITR (P73) pistons.  They are balanced by Spoon and include wrist pins and rings  跪@ www.jdmhondaparts.com
