yea so i was going down peterson in chicago (nice long stretch of road) when i decided to try'n race a RSX type S. so we were just crusin side by side at a low gear (high RPM) when he guns it, then i gun it...i passed him at like around 50some-odd miles per hour (raced from a rolling start) then he told me if i wanted to race we sould get on the highway (94-S) whatever so i followed him. i pulled up next to him with no traffic ahead of us with the clock just about to hit 2am. he started the whole three honk deal-y and we went. bada-bing i passed him and was still gaining, it was like AOL "GOOD-BYE" thats how badly i was ahead of himwhen all of a sudden speed limiter! WTF my speedo hit 120mph and stopped! now if im not mistaken the ys1 tranny hit 147.5 mph (FACT) WTF is up with mine? is everyone else's this ghey? so i got passed the the RSX just because i hit the speedo limiter. i was in fifth going 120mph at 6400rpms......help?   please help me?

it's the ecu speed limiter, get it chipped to remove it if you feel the need to go fast than 120

Lets all use our brains here, 120mph in a rex is PLENTY!!! Hell they become very unstable around there, and there is no way you would want to see 140mph in a rex, you could count your life goodbye. The aerodynamics are good, but not F1 good. You will get too light, and loose control, not enough downforce. No matter what HP you have, you will still run into this same problem.

straight outta oldcoyote's sig.... haha, just thought I'd throw it out there, not saying anyone is ignorant, but I'd rather see peeps test their speed limits and boundaries on a track, with a full roll cage and proper fuel cutoffs etc. than on the highways.

Never knew the RSX's had a speed limiter.
But I've gotten my CRX upto about 200kph (just over) and thats pretty damn fast!
I can't imagine going any faster in that car.
