Ok, I called an import shop today and they told me that they sell JDM d16y6 (92-95 Civic Si) for $400 with under 80,000km. Is there any difference between the USDM and JDM SOHC VTEC?
Can I pass emissions? The only reason I'd prefer a USDM engine is cause I KNOW it will pass emissions and since I can probably find  one with low milage.

But anyways I got another idea: what about the engine from an Integra GS? I mean shouldn't that work just like a ZC, since itc basically the same engine? Could I also my tranny and the ZC ECU on that?

JUst wondering...

Is there any difference b/w the JDM and USDM d16z6? or y8?

Which 1 came in the 92-95 Civics?

The JDM D16Z6 has I think 135 HP while the US spec has like 129 I think, not too much difference for the price probably.  But the Y8 is a pain in the ass I have heard to swap in a REX, not sure why, I think there is a different mount or something.

d16z6 is the one from the 5G Civics, right?
if so according to carpoint.com i has 125HP.

I'm guessing that the  JDM engine is the way to go?
