im looking to get a zc (DOHC) and was wondering if untill i get enough money i would be able to use my si ecu?

hell ya thats what im doing for like 2 weeks, u can get a teg or ZC ecu for under 100 though man, it aint bad at all.

...I'd personally try to avoid running the si ecu....you'll be soooooo much more happy w/ the swap if you run the teg/zc ecu... Wink

y ai know that, but you dont understand, i am about 400 in debt, so i have to wait like a month, then im gonna get a ZC ECU, cause i hear teg ones kill mad distributors.

Yeah, you can run the Si ECU for a while, just don't be surprised if it doesn't run 100%.  As far as the ECU destroying distributors, I don't think that is really the culprit.  How could the ECU kill the distributor?  Explain it to me....

I have the Zdyne ZC Conversion and love it, no hesitation or error codes.

well 99% of peeps that are constantly burning their distributors have a teg ecu...

why you ask... cus the teg ecu is a bit too aggresive and you will run rich which stresses on the ignition.... or somehtin like that...

im sure phatty can explain better...

Yeah, but I still think that is just a coincidence... I mean most people are using the Teg ECU, so it would make sense that most people with failures would have that ECU.

good point... but there are alot of peeps that have the ZC or the Si ecu, and have never had any problems with there ignition ever....

Yes it does.  I understand why people might swing that way.  I personally have the Zdyne ZC Conversion and haven't lost my distributor, yet.
