hey all... i'm wondering if a set of 10.3 inch front brakes will fit under the 14 inch stock 89 si rims? i know that my friend's 95 'teg has 10.3 inch front brakes and he has a set of 14 inch steelies on his car. so do you think they would fit under the 89 crx si rims? also does anyone have the link to the page which shows the parts needed for the front brake swap and the rear disc brake swap? thanks again... peace... :mmkay:

I have the big brakes, and they wouldent fit in my 14in stock wheels, or these other black 14's i have. But they fit my 15's perfectly.

they will rub with the 89 crx si rims (i have tried it myself) but will fit under a lot of 14" wheels, and any type of integra wheel or rim will fit (if he has 14" steel wheels, they're probably teg wheels).

Aren't the HX rims 13's? Well, I doubt it since you brought it up. I think you will need to get ahold of some integra rims man. Why are you changing the brakes on this car, you sure didn't on the last one.

well this car is going to be more of a driving experience. not just a pant wetting experience. thus i need to improve the braking performance of the car. also i just met someone today who did a 10.2 inch swap in the front of his crx with stock rims. you just need to shave the caliper about half a millimeter and the rim will make it on. i'm so happy.

get very good tires on the rims. like some yokohama avs intermediates. then when those are on the car check out www.fastbrakes.com they sell a kick ass kit for crx's.

did you check out fastbrakes? that place sells a very good kit. also the advan's are rediculously sticky. i've seen them but never ridden with them. what i have tried is a set of falken azenis tires. try those out for your next set man. a friend of mine runs them for auto-x and they're cheaper at 68 dollars for one on a 15 inch rim, and also softer. they grip better or so i'm told. check 'em out.
