if you are in neutral and u rev pass 4800, say all the way to 8000, does vtec still engage, even though you are neutral!?!

It does on a b16a2.  Well, it does on the Civic Si engine I know.

It does if you have a VTEC controller.  I know this for a fact.  It's not the secondary runners either, it's the cams switching over.

True....... and the B16a doesn't have secondaries...... only the B18c1, ever look at the intake manifold?

I was like 100% sure the B16 did, but someone explained to me they didn't, and why not. The GSR engine has them, which is why it's got that homo IM......
