Catalytic Convertor...

Okay, after I get my ZC in, I am gonna take my car to a muffler shop, and get that done, with some new piping from the cat to the muffler, 2 1/2 good? Anyway, what I was wanting to know, is should I have hte muffler place hollow out my cat, and will it pass inspection if its hollowed, and does it do anything for performance(sure it does). Anyway, I am keeping my stock header, for now.
