all right here's what i've come up with... i've been doing some reaserch this weekend and i've come up with these basic options... tell me what you think...
1. go n/a and do a bit of nos. this means getting a gude head package, an intake, header and exhaust. then down the road a zex 50 shot. total cost for parts and what not i'm thinking about 3000. that's on the stock motor.
2. swap in a b16. shoot a 50 shot zex plus header exhaust intake and maybe spec b cams from toda. total cost of this 4500. (maybe more maybe less)
3. go supercharger from jackson racing. intake header exhaust plus all the essentials to making the jrsc work well. i'm thinking 3300 for that on the stock motor.
4. go turbo from greddy. all i need is exhaust plus the running gear that's needed for the turbo and it's operation. 2800 sounds about the cost for that on the stock motor.
5. zc motor, greddy turbo. exhaust and operating gear for turbo. like 3300 estimate.
6. zc motor, supercharger. exhaust and operating gear for the jrsc. like 3800 estimate.
7. zc motor, head work from somewhere, hks cams and intake header exhaust. that'll cost me approx 3400.
what i'm really leaning towards is the turbo or turbo on zc setup. i'm guessing that i could simply boost on the stock motor and then wait till i've got the money and get a zc and then boost on that. but i'm not sure if i want to do the turbo. i like the sound of a supercharger too but then there's the whole nos / n/a thing that you all know i'm fond of... atleast the n/a thing. but then i really want a b16 too... what to do what to do???
now mind you this doesn't cover a clutch or springs/shocks, brakes or any of that stuff... just power adders. what would you do? thanks guys... peace...

I'm all about the turbo man. Don't go zc turbo, just add the turbo, than down the line add an LS :) But, you won't want to do the LS, because we all know what that eventually will lead to

i'm pretty partial to the zc/turbo setup myself as far as the speed per dollar ratio goes, but I have to wonder about the the strength of the zc engine. if you could make 210 hp at the wheels (like your old engine) and possibly even more torque than your old engine at a more useable rpm, that'd be nice. but how long would the engine last? if you have to start replacing the rods and pistons, you might as well have started with the b16a.

I would do a turbo and Nos ZC if I had it to do over again. The engine is cheaper then if you add in the turbo set up it cost more but is faster and alot cooler. I notice you spoke of NOS and that is just all around cool.

i would go with a b16, and add a turbo to that....like phatwhippen says.
build a custom turbo...just buy a t3/t4 turbo and downpipe, and piece together the rest of the system. MUCH cheaper and that way you know everything is made properly and fits right. those GReddy systems, and even some of the other turbo systems i have seem really dont impress me much...considering you have to pay more than 2500 for them.

The SC is really nice though too. Think about it, instead of waiting for the Turbo to kick in, you have it the whole time!

i'm between the supercharged zc or turbo zc... i'll probably end up getting a supercharger or turbo first and then putting the zc in when i have the money or run into trouble. i'm not getting a rev-hard or a f-max or any of that shit because they're for nothing but drag racing. the greddy kit was made for people in japan who rarely drag race but more or less do touge or road racing. i'm not taking my car to another drag strip for the rest of my life. it's too friggin over rated and i hate doing nothing but pointing my car straight and shifting gears... flamewhipper you can kiss my white ass... i'm getting a greddy if i feel like it... and other than that there's not much more of a decision to be made. i really don't feel like doing a big swap so i'm not doing a b16, because i don't feel like messing with mounts and what not... so it's a zc and turbo or sc... not sure which... hmm....
