I have a really embarrassing one that I know I've told before but their are a whole #### of a lot more people on this board now than there were in like Feb. when I told it. So here's my embarrassing story.
I'm driving back from a friends house (1990 CRX Si I/H/E, springs and shocks, at the time at least). Nashville is a REALLY hilly and I'm on this road that is one of the worst. The road goes down with a slight right hand turn the goes straight up and then straight down with a blind left hand turn at the bottom of the hill. That stretch of road is about 1000 yards I guess (REALLY BIG HILL!). So I'm going down the first hill when an early ninties Sentra SE-R pulls up behind me, flying. He tries to pass me in the other lane (it's a two lane street, one lane for each direction). I was no way going to let him pass me so I down shifted and stomped it. GReddy snarls and starts to scream! Ha ha, he starts to dissappear. So I'm halfway up the big-ass hill now and start to slow down cause there are two sub-divisions at the top that have entrances no one can see out of. I didn't want to smash another car but evidentally the SE-R did. He's still accelerating to try and catch up. So as I get to the top of the hill, I notice he's either going to hit me or hit the car coming the other way he can't see. So I floor it again and he disappears again. I let off at the bottom of the hill going 110 (speed limit is 30). I start to go around the sharp turn way too fast. Well, with my luck, there's comstruction going on in the other lane. Not wanting to pass a construction site at 90 mph, I start to ease on the brakes. Well, light cars, high speeds, bald tires, sharp turns, and the need to slow down quickly don't mix. I'm trying my hardest not to lock up the tires but I'm not slowing down fast enough. So I ease on the brakes just a little too hard and lock up the rear two tires (I need a brake ballance controller or learn the bleed my brakes corectly!). So of course I start to side into the other lane right in the path of a construction truck coming at me. I can either A) turn the wheel more to the left and hope I get the #### out of the way on the shoulder of the wrong side of the road, B) hope to God my car somehow corrects itself and I don't kill anyone or C) hit the gas, slide the ass end and try to get back in my lane. I chose C which worked pretty well and looked cool too... until the rear tires kept sliding and I ended up aiming back into the wrong lane. So I just let off the gas (going about 85) and turned the wheel again to the right. This sent me heading towards the yard on my right. Well, this yard happened to have a HUGE ditch that I jumped (got three feet of air, at least!) and then slammed into the middle of their yard. My car dies and then the Sentra guys drives by, honks, flips me the bird, laughs and leaves. This big black guy in a truck pulls into the driveway of the yard I just plowed for them and starts to walk to my car. I'm thinking I'm going to die and open the door. The guy gets to me and says, "you OK?" I was like, "uh, yeah." He asks me if my car will start and I tried and it did. Then he says, "you might want to get the #### out of this yard cause some one knocked over their mailbox with a car a week ago and the old man who lives here came after them with a shot gun." I was like, " you don't live here?" He said no. So I bolted. I went back to the construction sight and appologised to all the constrution workers but they just wanted me to "hunt down that #### Sentra and kick the guys ass." So I went to look for him, didn't find him... That day. lol, found him later though. He doesn't like me very much and I don't expect him to start liking Hondas anytime soon either!
